Every 20 hours, an Australian newborn is diagnosed with Cerebral palsy (CP). Caused by an injury to the developing brain, during pregnancy or shortly after birth, Cerebral means ‘of the brain’ and palsy refers to ‘a lack of muscle control’. CP is an umbrella term that refers to a group of disorders affecting a person’s ability to move.

CP affects body movement, muscle control, coordination, reflex, posture and balance. Those living with cerebral palsy may also have visual, learning, hearing, speech, epilepsy and intellectual impairments.

1 in 10 people with a disability experienced disability discrimination in the last year.

It's vital we take steps to change this by raising awareness and funds for people living with disability. From early intervention therapy for babies to life changing technology, together we can create lasting impact for people living with disability and their families.

Positive evidence-based outcomes for Cerebral Palsy Alliance

This initiative is also timely for us at Kineo as we now are now in an environment where remote working or working from home is thenorm and we often forget the need get up and stay active to ensure our health and well-being remains in check.”
