Common Eye Conditions

Learning outcomes for this course:

• list common eye conditions, identify who’s at risk and outline how to manage these conditions
• identify which situations to refer to an optometrist or ophthalmologist and what information to include in referral letters
• explain common eye condition causes, symptoms, and treatments to patients and educate them on possible care options
• improve patient safety by identifying the conditions requiring urgent referral for specialist care.
