Invisible to the naked eye, germs and bacteria are spread from person-to-person and by touching everyday surfaces. Microorganisms are either present on hands most of the time (resident flora) or acquired during activities (transient flora). In this course, we investigate the goal of hand hygiene, which is to reduce the number of microorganisms on your hands and prevent the spread of microorganisms as a result.
